R U OK?

Conversations can change lives.

Let's make every day an opportunity to spread kindness and to exercise mindfulness in our daily routine. Mental health is real. It's just as real as the skin you bruise when you brush up against a brick wall. It's as real as the scratch you feel at the back of your throat when you wake up with the first signs of a cold. It's just as real as the excessive growth of cells that can hurtle out of control beneath our skin that adopts the name Cancer.

Mental heath comes to us in many different forms: stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression bipolar, schizophrenia, addiction and substance abuse, ptsd...and its list of persona's keep growing. Just like any other disease, it can affect each and every one of us. I'm not always ok...but that in itself, is ok. I have my anxieties, both personal and social. Not a day goes by without reflection and growth. That smile you give a stranger in the street, it makes a difference.

In the Bahai Writings, it says "possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart." With this seed planted within your thoughts, let's try to make every day one where we genuinely connect with those around us from a place of kindliness, consideration and heart. So...are you really ok? It's ok if you're not. Just open up your wings of bravery and have a conversation. I'd love to hear some of your journeys...
